Julia MacAngus
OWNER AND HEAD TRAINER
Julia has been competing in Hunter, Jumper and Equitation rings throughout her riding career. She has been involved with horses from a young age, guided throughout the years by the knowledgeable eye of her aunt, Canadian two-time Olympian Jill Henselwood.
Julia has had the amazing opportunity to learn from many top industry riders and trainers. She has ridden under names such as Jill Henselwood, Robert Gharibzadeh, Sandi Patterson, Rebecca Nuth, Christine Wiggins, Jeff McKessock and Colleen Howard.
Her tremendous work ethic and meticulous attention to detail translate to her training and coaching, making it a natural transition for her to the professional world in 2020.
Julia has assisted in the development of many young horses, helping them gain experience and setting them up for success in their careers.
Her current personal partner is Chilan S, an exciting 6 year old gelding with amazing potential that she imported from Europe in 2020. This young partnership is already off to a strong start, giving us a glimpse at the success the future will hold for them.
Ania Kolecki
CO-OWNER AND MANAGER
Ania has been involved with horses for over 20 years. She has worked in the barn at various competition stables, and also managed the Ottawa tack store Vision Saddlery for many years. She has had the opportunity to clinic and ride with many top trainers, including Paul Halpern, Jill Henselwood, and Jeff McKessock. Their wisdom and knowledge has been invaluable in forming all that she knows.
She brings to the team her amazing organization skills, and is always looking for new ways to have the horses looking and feeling their best. Being in the industry for so many years among some of the top professionals, has fueled her detail oriented approach when it comes to stable management, turnout and all other aspects of horse care.
